Obituary of Samuel Dean Fleming

Batavia - Samuel Dean Fleming, age 73, of Batavia, passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at his home in Batavia.

Samuel was born March 29, 1945, in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Charles Dean Fleming and Nelle Eilene Fleming.

A member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Mr. Fleming worked at Lapp Insulator in LeRoy for over 35 years, retiring in 2007.

He is survived by his wife, Augustine Crimes Fleming; his son, James Fleming of Batavia; step-children,  Lisa Fleming of Batavia, Andrew Crimes of Batavia and Cynthia Crimes of Batavia; two sisters,  Mazie Vallies and Nancy Fleming, both of Shelocta, Pennsylvania; a cousin, Joe (Shirley) Brock and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his siblings, Mabel Fleming and Howard Fleming.

Friends may call on Friday from 1-2 p.m. at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 516 Ellicott Street, Batavia where his homegoing service will follow at 2 p.m.with Rev. Emmanuel Duncan officiating.
