Obituary of Mabel Maxine Meredith

Waterloo/Ithaca - Mabel Maxine Meredith, 94, of Waterloo, a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Diocese of Buffalo, died Friday, January 26, 2018 at Huntington Living Center, in Waterloo.
Mrs. Meredith was born August 31, 1923 in Chester, MT, the daughter of the late George and Pearl (Peterson) Green.
She was a former member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and raised dogs for Guiding Eyes for the Blind.
Her husband, Howard Edwin Meredith, died June 6, 2000.
Survivors include a son, Richard E. (Florine) Meredith of Ovid; 2 grandchildren, Kelly R. Meredith of Owego and David J. (Sylvia) Meredith of Oakfield; a great-grandchild, Desmond Meredith of Oakfield;  2 brothers, Charles Green of MT and Leslie Green of OR; several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Myrtle Green.  
Friends may call on Wednesday from 11 am to 1 pm at Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Ave., Oakfield where services will follow at 1 pm.  Burial will be in Clarence Fillmore Cemetery in Clarence.  Memorials may be made to Guiding Eyes for the Blind, 611 Granite Springs Road, Yorktown Heights, NY  10598.
