Dear Jennifer and family please accept my sincere condolences in the passing of your dad. Mr mort was a great man and some of my fondest memories were from our high school days back in the 80’s. I always loved hearing your dad’s stories from his days on the Elba mucklands.
I am sorry I cannot make the services but please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Mortellaro Family,
Deepest sympathies to you all on the passing of Mr. Mortellaro, aka Mr. Mort. He was a truly wonderful man. A few years ago, I sat down next to a gentleman at Sloat Tire Shop and thought, I know this man...I know his eyes and that twinkle in his eyes when he smiles...it dawned on me - it was "Mr. Mort" who I hadn't seen in +30 years. I introduce myself and he smiles and launches into a wonderful conversation with me, telling me all about all of Mrs. Mort's and all the kids and grandchildren and so many different things and about his upcoming ski trip. I will always remember that conversation as it was so inspiring to me. In that moment, he taught me that, yes, while sitting in a tire shop, life was to be lived, and that living with positivity was a choice and a habit that if carefully honed over years grew into something so incredibly special.
God Bless All of You.
