Peggy might be the only child that might remember me. I lived in WV and was a good friend of your mom and dad when I was a teenager. Your dad gave me one of my first jobs as a kid. Helping unload the Flickingers truck at the store every other Thursday or such as that.I stayed in contact with Bob and Jane after moving to Jamestown and eventually to Phx AZ. But lost contact several years ago. I want the family to know just how much I thought of your dad. He was a great guy and a wonderful friend to me. I am deeply sorry for you loss. I will always remember your dad (and mom) fondly.

It was a coincidence that allowed me to meet Bob at the Doctors’ office a few short days before he passed. Although unplanned, the ensuing conversation offered us the welcome opportunity to share some reflections about both of our lives as they were, and as they are now. His health was obviously failing, but his mind was still amazingly healthy. I believe we both knew we were saying goodbye. My condolences to all of you, They are offered with the hope is that his integrity, willingness to help others, and his loving commitment to all of you and his community of friends will sustain your positive memory of him throughout the rest of your lives. I was a privilege to have known him.
