Obituary of Albert U. Strollo

Albert U. Strollo, 88, of Batavia, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at United Memorial Medical Center.

 

Albert was born March 29, 1931, in Batavia, a son of the late Albino and Carmella (Corrado) Strollo.

 

Albert was a hall of fame bowler having appeared on television for a number of weeks winning several tournaments. Albert also repeated as champion in the bowling tournaments.  He was a veteran serving with the United States Army during the Korean War.  Albert worked for the former Cecere Paving in Batavia.

 

Survivors include several nieces and nephews.                   

 
Albert is a brother of the late Anthony (Jean) Strollo, Rose Strollo, Michael (Anna) Strollo, Fred (Mary) Strollo, Mary (Alphonse) Ficarella, Antoinette (John) O'Geen, Pauline (Joseph) O'Geen, Frances Miceli and Florence (Joseph) Macaluso.
 

There will be no prior calling hours. Albert's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Ascension Parish, 19 Sumner Street, Batavia.  He will be laid to rest in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Batavia with military honors.

 

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Albert's memory may be made to Ascension Parish, 19 Sumner Street, Batavia, NY 14020
