My deepest condolences to your family. Gordon was such a wonderful neighbor and I will always remember coming down to the farm to visit the calves and the kittens. We were so blessed to bring our little girls to enjoy the same things and swing from the rope in the barn. He was such a wonderful person and will be missed until we reunite in Heaven.

My deepest condolences to you all at the loss of your wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to us all. There are many memories I could share about Gordon, but the first depicts him so perfectly. Did you know Gordon followed my family out into the parking lot and literally single handedly (who could escape those giant, big hearted hands) turned us around and welcomed us into a coffee hour at church the day of our first visit? His warmth and humor and open friendly face launched 20 years of belonging at Bergen Presbyterian for my family. We all loved him very much.
Sincerely in Christ
Laura (Cali) Scavo

Dear Delores, Chris and Amy, We are saddened at the loss of your dear husband and father, but rejoice in knowing his suffering is over. We celebrate Gordon's life and the blessing he was to us and our family. Our best memories are of the many long lasting bear hugs, seeing him dance the polka with you at weddings and other events, and watching him ring the church bell with such gusto on Sunday mornings. You cared for our children, Jason and Beth, when we chaperoned the Jesus 76 Festival, which your girls attended with us. Our children both enjoyed staying with you, seeing the animals and partaking of Gordon's wonderful sense of humor. There was always a smile on his face and joy in his heart. We look forward to seeing him again in eternity. With all our love, Sandy and Cale

Delores, Julie and I and the girls are sorry to hear about your lose. You and Gordon were the first people we had met when we came from Vermont and were looking at a house to rent. On the day I met you both I knew it was the Lord that brought us together. One great memory of Gordon was when he asked me the name of my 6 daughters and when they came to the house we were renting for the first time he lined them up and named them all by memory. One other memory we have of Gordon was his faithful dog Hazel. Gordon would visit the house from time to time with Hazel in tow in the back of his pickup. Gordon blessed our family. Bless you Delores!!

Dear Delores, I am so sorry for your loss, I can't imagine you without the love of your life at your side. Gordon was such a wonderful man, I will treasure your friendship forever. Though he has gotten a head start on us in that glorious heavenly gathering I look forward to rejoicing with him there someday too. I'm praying for you during this time of grief. Love Holly
