I'm so sad I can'g believe she is gone. We went everywhere cachin. Out to Ohio, down to Virginia & Maryland, We did a GeoTrail on our bikes in CT had and adventure with the truck. Went to Canada for a mega 5 times. Even did a GeoTrail up there as well on our bicycles (180 caches) and then some more caches in the area up there. Geowoodstock in MD, Stayed at the house and also the lake house and we did area caches around Rochester area. We would meet up for an overnight in Cortland/Ithaca & Auburn and clean out the caches in those areas. She would come out to my place near Utica and stay a few nights before heading up to Canada and we would do caches in the Utica area. We solved a Lot of puzzle caches and had a TON of FUN!! I'm really going to miss her!!!!

With deepest sympathy to Clare's family. I remember her as "Gadget" and my favorite memory of geocaching with her was when a group of us kayaked Cranberry Pond and then kayaked out to Lake Ontario and "surfed" the waves in our kayaks. Rest in Peace Clare- your geocaching friend Edina

My heart aches for your family. Dear Mrs. Sloat was such a sweet lady in my life when I was young. Nancy and I even stayed at Mr. and Mrs. Sloat's house at Godfrey's Pond when my parents went to help with flooding south of us. She was so kind. May God comfort your hearts.
