Obituary of Elaine A. Beals

Lockport - Elaine A. Beals, 77 of Lockport, formerly of Olcott Beach and Batavia, passed away Friday, October 11, 2019, at Elderwood of Lockport.

Elaine was born on March 15, 1942 in Batavia, the daughter of the late Lyle and Anna (Budinger) Mowers.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading and tending to her flower garden.

Her husband, John H. Beals died on May 13, 2008.

She is survived by a daughter, Rachel (Lawrence) Schmidt of Lockport; a son, Michael (Kathleen) Beals of Roswell, GA; 5 grandchildren, Emma Jean Schmidt, Joshua Schmidt and Jacob Schmidt all of Lockport and Chad Beals and Julia Beals, both of Roswell, GA; a brother, Steven (Diane) Mowers of PA and several nieces and nephews. 

Private services with burial in Reed Cemetery in Oakfield,  will be held at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, consider memorial contributions to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094-1231.  Arrangements were entrusted to the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home 11 Maple Ave., Oakfield, NY.
