We'll truly miss Stanley's kind and gentle manner. He was truly a wonderful friend to our family. We hope Stanley, Seymour, and Hella are sitting down, telling stories (and perhaps a few off color jokes) and reminiscing about old times.
Stanley we miss and love you!

Bill and Fava you are right.
It’s the way Stan looked at us and listened to us, face on, full attention with calm and patience.
After he listened, came the payoff. He would ask a penetrating question or offer thoughtful advice that moved the dialogue and friendship forward.
Shabbat shalom Stan. You will live on in our memories and inspire our lives.
With love from Neil and Ellen Matlins

Mrs. Schumann, I'm very sorry for your family's loss. I really enjoyed talking to him with you at the Casey's (my in-laws) not long ago. I am glad I remembered to tell him a story about how he went out of his way to take and mail a picture at one of Marc's appearances at the House of Guitars to my camera-less friend thirty years ago.

I've known Stan since 1979. I learned later that he was instrumental in my being hired at BOCES, which began my 34 year career there. He was always an uplifting spirit to speak with, even when he needed to convince me to change some comments on student progress reports. I learned a lot form him through the years and will never forget advice he offered. A great man he was.
