Obituary of Margaret E. Rumery

Batavia - Margaret E. Rumery, 92, of Batavia, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at United Memorial Medical Center.

She was born June 2, 1927, in Hermon NY, a daughter of the late Grant and Mamie Jones Blandin.

Her husband, Fay S. Rumery, passed away on August 24, 1994.

She is survived by her children; Stephen (Rosalind) Rumery of Batavia, David (Kathleen) Rumery of Delaware and Wayne (Laurie) Rumery of Florida. Five grandchildren Laura (Dave) Cardinal; David (Vanessa) Rumery; Barbra (Michael) Rumery; Brian (Stacey) Frieday and Eric Frieday; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters; Ruth Peters of Ohio and Vivian Kindinger of Illinois; along with nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her sister; Olive Case.

There will be no visitation.  Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. She will be laid to rest in Grand View Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Margaret’s name to United Memorial Medical Center Foundation, 330 Monroe Avenue, Suite 400, Rochester, New York 14607.
