I worked with Max at the NYSSB for two summers. In that short time he made an unforgettable impression upon me. I will always remember his joyful laugh, his mischievous manner and his handsome face!

Sean and Shannon, I’m sorry for your loss. I never had the pleasure of meeting Max, but Sean would light up when he talked about Max and say what a happy child he was. It sounds like Max has a great welcome party in heaven. I’m sure he is being well cared for and getting lots of love. It is those of us left behind who feel the pain and sorrow. May God bless your family and ease your grief in time. Love, Amanda Bezon

Max was such a unique personality and full of energy. I loved teaching him and watching his smile emerge as he would spin and run. He was such a character and will surely be missed. Rest assurred, he is letting his light shine now, in heaven.

Max was in our class for three years. He was smart, funny and oh yes, mischievious! I can't count the number of times I said, How did you get that while I'm sitting right next to you? Max definately marched to his own beat and had his plan for doing things, at his pace, no more no less! He slyly hid his abilities because he knew we'd push him to do more, that was his way. Max was a good friend to his classmates and had a very caring side which he displayed often. I'll miss turning around and having him be right there handing me anything he thought i needed ( or didn't need ) with that smile on his face.

My time spent with Max was some of the best years of my life. His infectious smile and giggle will always stay with me. He truly had a happiness about him that made everyone else around him feel just as great. I think my most favorite memory was when I had programmed his device for communication and left the room only to come back to him laughing and it being completely wiped out. He did it a few more times and I never figured out how....but boy was he proud of himself. I can’t imagine the world without him in it. I’m so sorry for your loss.

Max will never be forgotten. He definitely left an impression on people wherever he went. We miss all his crazy antics and looking at his face to figure out what he was plotting next. Thank you for sharing him with us and allowing NYSSB to be part of your family.

I had the honor of working with Max during his first year at NYSSB. His infectious giggle (usually when asked to do work!) , and his amazing smile, made everyone just fall in love. He would get up and dance, spin, and just love life. I'm so blessed to have spent time with him. ❤️
