Obituary of Sammy F. Manes

Batavia - Sammy F. Manes, 76, of Batavia, NY, a 33 year employee at O-At-Ka Milk Products Co-Op in Batavia, died Friday, February 10, 2017 at his home in Stafford. Mr. Manes was born August 21, 1940 in Batavia, NY, a son of the late Jesse D. and Alta (Huey) Manes. He enjoyed his family, meeting people, auctions and studying Harness Horse Breeds. Survivors include a step-son, Dana Manes of TX; 2 grandchildren, Samantha Molske and Lynze Manes; 2 sisters: Lucille Dilcher of Elba and Elizabeth "Betty" Baldwin of Batavia; a brother, James (Barbara Hellerman) Manes of Oakfield; several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Scott Aaron Manes and brother of the late Jesse D. Manes, Jr. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Private burial will be in Cary Cemetery in Oakfield. Arrangements were completed by Burdertt & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue, Oakfield, NY.
